The best of the best (con't)...

I finally made it to the hot springs in Glenwood. I'm diving on the left and my friends Patty, Alice, and LaDonna are on the right.

Here are a couple from when I went dogsledding near Frisco. I don't know the names of the two on the left, but Everest and Simba are on the right.

The best of the best....

I promised pictures so here they are. These are my favorites from the past month. Luis is on the left and Chris is on the right. This was only the third time Chris has ever skied.

I don't know these two people, but the pictures turned out good.

I spent a couple nights in Denver visiting with Marne. I took the first pic. right before we went our separate ways. The one on the right is of Red Rock, an outdoor stadium.

I know...I'm a horrible person.

Well, maybe not a horrible person...just horrible at updating my blog. I've got lots of excuses but none of them are very good and after getting several calls and emails I decided I better not put it off any longer.

I talked to Katie a few days ago (on 3/8/08) and she said, "I figured you weren't coming home on the 5th like you were scheduled." I can't get anything past P.I. Katie. Maybe it was the fact that 3 days later we still hadn't run into each other and we share the same townhouse. But in all seriousness, I have been extended until 4/8/08 and to all those whom I forgot to tell, I'm sorry I didn't pass this information on earlier.

My dad sent me an email recently asking for an explanation for not updating my blog. Here are his ideas on why I'm so out of touch.

  1. Too busy having fun out on the slopes.
  2. Or maybe you got buried in one of those avalanches and no one noticed you’re gone.
  3. Or maybe you’ve become so indispensable to TSA that they have you working around the clock.
  4. Or maybe you met a great guy from Venezuela and went there to meet his family, only to get caught up in the border dispute with Columbia .
  5. Or maybe you have started a new internet business and are so busy with the manufacture of sock puppets that you don’t have time for anything else.
  6. Or maybe you got sent to Katmandu on a secret mission.

They are all entertaining but false, except for the one about skiing. So what have I been doing? We've already covered skiing. I also went dogsledding and to the hot springs in Glenwood. A group of my NDF friends get together at least twice a week to watch a movie or play Shanghi Rummy (Mom, are you proud?).

The other most time consuming activity is photography. Between taking the pictures and editing them, I feel like I barely have time to sleep. Several other NDF have asked me to ski with them so I can take some action shots of them skiing or snowboarding and I've also gone out in search of wildlife a couple times. I just spent too much of my hard earned dough on another telephoto lens and a teleconverter since those bald eagles won't let me walk up close to them. I promise to add some pictures in the next couple days. Please except my apologies.

Love,

Tracie
